Today, Square Enix announced one of the most unusual giveaways I have ever seen associated with a game. Instead of giving away copies of the game, DLC, or even a console, they are giving away an actual, real life island.
This sounds too good to be true, and unfortunately it is. According to the fine print, the winner has to pay all taxes and fees associated with obtaining the island. They also don’t guarantee that the island will be “inhabitable, developed, or reachable by any means other than a boat.”
If all those terms don’t bother you, you can learn more about how to win on the official website. But if you don’t want to pay for an island that you could probably never go to, you can take a $50,000 dollar prize instead.
